The holidays are nearly upon us, spring is finally in the air, and many of us are looking forward to a well deserved Easter break. For those of us who have planned a caravan holiday whether it be a static or touring, it is important not to forget that caravans are just as prone to the dangers of fire as our homes. In fact, in many ways they are more dangerous, as we tend to leave our safety head at home when we go on holiday. The dangers of wood burning stoves

Wood burning stoves are a fantastic addition to any home. They have become extremely popular over the last few years, for a number of reasons. Firstly they look great, but they are also environmentally friendly using carbon-neutral fuel, and are far more enery efficient than an open fire.

The problem is that not everyone understands the dangers involved in maintaining and correctly running a wood burning stove. Wood smoke contains pollutants within it which can be harmful, and it can also be a source of carbon monoxide.

The importance of the CO - Be Alarmed Campaign

The CO - Be Alarmed Campaign is an important step in the right direction, and aims to push the government into taking some steps to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
