We have recently created our first Squidoo lens to compliment our Fire Safety blog. A Squidoo lens is a page created on the website Squidoo, dedicated to a particular topic. The lens we have created is dedicated to the Fire Angel range of smoke alarms, including ionisation smoke alarms, optical smoke alarms and smoke alarm packs.

Vibrating Pad Saves Life
A Fire Angel vibrating pad has saved the life of a pensioner in West Sussex. The pensioner, who is deaf, was victim of an arson attack on his block of flats. The man was sleeping at the time of the attack but was awoken by a vibrating pad under his pillow, which was triggered by a wireless smoke alarm.
The equipment was installed by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service as part of a free home fire safety check carried out. The FireAngel Wi-Safe vibrating pillow pad and flashing strobe, was linked to a wireless smoke alarm which detected the fire.

Introduction to the Fire Angel Product Range
Over the next few weeks I will be discussing the full Fire Angel product range, from optical smoke alarms, to portable carbon monoxide detectors.
The SI-601 is a low cost Ionisation Smoke Alarm suitable for use in most household rooms.
